VIC Basic Knowledge Development Program

Complete structured learning program designed to take new players from their first day in EVE through advanced operations and PvP readiness.

This program provides foundation topics for Initiates to progress toward becoming full Virtus Crusaders. Complete all three chapters to demonstrate readiness for main chapter advancement.

Chapter 1: EVE Fundamentals

Space & Security:

  • Security Bands: High-sec (0.5-1.0), Low-sec (0.1-0.4), Null-sec (-1.0-0.0)
  • Special Spaces: Wormhole mechanics, Pochven access and dangers
  • Travel Safety: Safe routes, gate camps, bubble mechanics
  • Transport: Cargo scanning, ganking prevention, courier services
  • Nullification: Interdiction immunity, interceptor travel

Politics & Rules:

  • NBSI: Not Blue, Shoot It (standard nullsec rules)
  • NPSI: Not Purple, Shoot It (fleet contexts)
  • NRDS: Not Red, Don't Shoot (rare, specific areas)
  • Corporation: Basic organization unit
  • Alliance: Corporation groups
  • Coalition: Alliance partnerships

Essential Skills & Tools:

  • Skills Training: Optimal queue management, attribute mapping
  • Implants: Basic understanding of stat enhancement
  • Jump Clones: Strategic positioning, medical clones
  • Bookmarks: Creating safe spots, tactical positions

Critical Survival Tools:

  • Directional Scanner (D-scan): Your primary threat detection

Chapter 2: PvE & Industrial Operations

Fleet & Intel Systems:

  • Emergency Procedures: Rapid response protocols

  • Ratting: Nullsec NPC combat, bounty collection

Mining & Resource Gathering:

  • Ice Mining: Belt spawning mechanics, ice products
  • Gas Harvesting: Wormhole sites, danger assessment

Chapter 3: PvP Foundations
